WRITER PROFILE Rick Beckley Born: February 2, 1974 Working on MBA in Logistics at the University of Tennessee I've got the usual background of a comic book creator. I read them as a kid, my mom threw them all away and I've spent the rest of my life trying to find the ones I used to have. Of course, I don't remember them that clearly, so there's a dream-like quality to reading some of my favorite old comics. Back in 1993 I got involved with a company called Dark Visions Publishing. I wrote a couple of titles for them, 'Fever' and 'Fables'. Good experience. I learned a lot. Since then I've published two benefit books for the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund called Occupational Hazards and I've started my own company, Comics Digital.
